Network & IT Configuration
This section provides documentation for IT administrators deploying FastRTK base stations in enterprise environments.
Overview
FastRTK base stations require network connectivity to:
- Stream NTRIP corrections to rovers
- Provide web-based administration
- Enable remote monitoring and management
- Relay corrections from external CORS networks

Deployment Recommendations
Enterprise (Recommended)
Place the base station on an isolated VLAN:
- Maximum network isolation
- Granular firewall control
- Easy to audit and monitor
Small Office / Home
Use NAT port forwarding:
- Works with existing routers
- Simple to configure
- No additional hardware needed
Remote / Field Sites
Use cellular modem:
- No site infrastructure needed
- Works in remote locations
- Carrier provides firewall
